- A
full inspection is initiated and the stove & piping are checked
to have the correct clearance for combustibility based on CBJ
ordinance/Manufacturer's recommendations. Additional inspection
looks for the integrity of piping, the heating unit itself and
the fireplace itself for temperature induced cracks and deformities.
- On
the pellet stoves, free standing wood stoves & fireplace inserts,
the room-air fan is checked to ensure full operability, on pellet
stoves the combustion fan is checked to ensure stove's optimum
burning efficiency.
- Check
auger or cup motors for excessive noise or leakage. Berrings are
assessed for their integrity and replaced as necessary.
- Check
door gaskets and seals are checked to avoid improper combustion
or leakage of smoke, gasses or odor into living areas of your
home.
- Ensure
that the burn chamber is in good condition. Analysis of metal
housing for warping or metal fatique which will effect combustion
and proper operation of your stove.
- Thorough
cleaning of entire chimney assembly and stove system. Removal
of ash, creosote and any other particle buildup.
- To
facilitate easy dismantling of stoves for cleaning, repair work
or normal door use, an antisieze lubrication is applied to all
hinges, door latches, bolts & raincap.
- Once
completed, a test-fire of your stove will be initiated to ensure
the reliable and safe operation.
